Education for Action: Claiming Our Power

Oct 19 Film Flyer Final.jpg

We will feature two TED Talks by Eric Liu.  In the first, "Why Ordinary People Need to Understand Power,"  he will discuss how "far too many Americans are illiterate in power--what it is, how it operates and why some people have it.  As a result, those few who do understand power wield disproportionate influence over everyone else."

In the second film, he will discuss his view of "Why There is No Such Thing as Not Voting." He offers a compelling talk about "why anyone eligible should show up on election day."
